Peaks of sound velocity in two color dense QCD: Quark saturation effects and semishort range correlations

چکیده

We discuss stiffening of dense matter in two color QCD (QC$_2$D) where hadrons are mesons and diquark baryons. study models which describe a transition from the Bose-Einstein-Condensation regime at low density to Bardeen-Cooper-Schrieffer high density. The first model is based on coherent states diquarks, second Nambu-Jona-Lasinio with pairing terms. particularly focus how quark occupied as baryon increases. find that, due levels, ideal gas picture diquarks breaks down significantly less than cores overlap. saturation momenta stiffens equations state. also effects interactions depend occupation probability. argue that state become very stiff when bulk part Fermi sea has effective repulsion but surface enjoys attractive correlations. This disparity for different momentum domains possible strong channel dependence gluon exchanges transfer $0.2-1$ GeV. These concepts can be transferred QC$_2$D any numbers colors.

Velocity correlations in dense granular flows.

Velocity fluctuations of grains flowing down a rough inclined plane are experimentally studied. The grains at the free surface exhibit fluctuating motions, which are correlated over a few grain diameters. The characteristic correlation length is shown to depend on the inclination of the plane and not on the thickness of the flowing layer. This result strongly supports the idea that dense granul...

Velocity correlations in dense granular gases.

We report the statistical properties of spherical steel particles rolling on an inclined surface being driven by an oscillating wall. Strong dissipation occurs due to collisions between the particles and can be tuned by changing the number density. The velocities of the particles are observed to be correlated over large distances comparable to the system size. The distribution of velocities dev...

Color superconductivity and dense quark matter

The properties of cold and dense quark matter have been the subject of extensive investigation, especially in the last decade. Unfortunately, we still lack of a complete understanding of the properties of matter in these conditions. One possibility is that quark matter is in a color superconducting phase which is characterized by the formation of a diquark condensate. We review some of the basi...

Color Superconductivity in Dense Quark Matter

A brief introduction into the properties of dense quark matter is given. Recently proposed gapless color superconducting phases of neutral and betaequilibrated dense quark matter are discussed. The current status in the field is described, and the promising directions of the future research are outlined.

Color Superconductivity in Cold, Dense Quark Matter

We review what is different and what is similar in a color superconductor as compared to an ordinary BCS superconductor. The parametric dependence of the zero-temperature gap, φ0, on the coupling constant differs in QCD from that in BCS theory. On the other hand, the transition temperature to the superconducting phase, Tc, is related to the zero-temperature gap in the same way in QCD as in BCS ...
